Operations Manager | Karachi

Job Description:

· Supervise of the plant operation.

· Plan and develop new methods to improve station operational efficiency.

· Supervise start-up, synchronizing loading rate, shutdown of the unit and handing over for maintenance.

· Ensure that logbooks and other records of operation during the shift are properly maintained. Handing over and taking over between outgoing and ingoing shifts are to be precise.

· Take charge of any major fault of emergency situation.

· Inform GM incase of any mishap or break down.

· Investigate the cause and enter the reports in the logbook in case of tripping and other major faults.

· Restore the station supply in minimum possible time in case of partial or total breakdown of supply.

· Fill accident form in case of injury to staff member as per Factory Act.

· Co-ordinate with relevant department for startup and shutdown of the generating set according to system requirement.

· Prepare daily generation statistics of Power station.

· Arrange to have all the positions in the Power Station filled.

· Carry out inspection after shutdown.

· Arrange in-service training of operation staff.

· Administer the operation section during the duty shift in accordance with the orders of the management, rules and regulations in practice.

· Maintain discipline by ensuring punctuality of the worker and observance of rules.

· Ensure that any data, report information regarding the operation of the plant required by the management is provided timely and in the form required by the department

· Indepth understanding of the plant with a potential to grow into the Plant head

Skills Required:

B.E. (Electrical / Mechanical ), plus preferably MBA

Minimum 8 years related experience and 3 years in senior position(variable, depending on the candidate potential).

Should have Organizational and Administrative/managerial skills
