About the Program
Our new and exciting 12-month programme will offer you six broad and comprehensive rotations within Operations, Credit Risk, Products, Re-engineering, Support Function and Branch Sales.

Relationship Manager role:
Once you've completed the year of rotations and Consumer Banking training, you can expect to move into a branch role as a Relationship Manager serving the Personal Banking customer segment or Small Business customer segment.

This three-year role will see you build relationships with customers and will give you all the critical skills and knowledge we believe you'll need as you make your way towards becoming one of our general managers in the future.

At the end of each of the six rotations, you can expect to be able to:

Rotation 1 - Operations (1 month):
Describe the collaboration between the branch and operations
Understand how to continuously improve productivity, quality and customer service
Provide examples of the process design of operations activities to ensure efficiency and maximisation of resources
Rotation 2 - Re-engineering (1 month)
Have been involved in the execution of one re-engineering project (e.g. branch optimisation, call centre optimisation, cross-border banking or new relationship opening process)
Have an understanding of the benefits and challenges of standardisation
Rotation 3 - Credit Risk (1 month)
Explain how Management Information System (MIS) is used in the decision making process for the consumer business
Understand the key drivers of portfolio management and how to monitor trends
Be familiar with the key indicators of portfolio management and how they can be used in identifying trends and key risk indicators
Rotation 4 - Support Function (1 month)
During this rotation you'll work in one of our support functions focusing on the strategy, policy and process around our strategy implementation
Have had an opportunity to build your knowledge in Consumer Banking Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance, Marketing and Analytics (or Technology and Operations)

Create plans for prospecting and acquisition of customers

A development plan has been designed for Banking Associates to help you prepare for our sales leadership roles.

We have a five-year focus in the Personal Banking segment, as this requires more local, broad-based experience, before nomination for the Branch Manager Academy.
