Chief Accountant - Karachi

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Compilation of long term and short term cash forecasts to identify financing requirements.

· Arranging long term and short term borrowings.

· Documentation for loan agreements and liaison with legal advisors for the same.

· Administration of loans, maintenance of payment schedules, timely repayments and compliance of covenants.

· Identification of most profitable avenues for investment of surplus funds.

· Continuous scanning of the environment (money and capital markets) to identify new investment opportunities.

· Identification of risks and suggest risk mitigation strategies.

· Regular review of bank reconciliations and ensure that these do not contain any old items.

· Implementation of various audit observations raised by internal and external auditors relating to treasury and imports.

· Developing and reviewing financial models and projections in spreadsheets.

· Establish an MIS system of treasury for internal reporting to the higher management.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

· Chartered Accountant having completed article ship from a reputed firm.

· Should have post qualification experience of at least 5 years of dealing with banks/ financial institutions. Experience in audit will be an added advantage.

· Clear concepts of banking systems, rules/ regulations, products and procedures, requirements of Companies Ordinance and SBP’s Prudential Regulations. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting standards and Income Tax Laws.
