IS Security Officer

Place of position:

Head Office Karachi

Qualification:

1. Bachelors in Computer Science/MBA Major in MIS/IT Professional Qualification.
2. Certification of CISM or CISSP is mandatory.
3. CISA will be an added advantage.

Experience:

Preferably 10 years of IT experience in Financial Sector with minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security/IS Audit or related field. (Relaxable for female candidates).

Core Skills & Essentials to Meet Job Expectations:

1. Implement, and maintain IS security setup of the Bank.
2. Update all IS security policies and procedures, including those for end users, network procedures, and compliance of the regulatory authorities.
3. Propagate security awareness among employee as per policy.
4. Oversee enforcement of policies and procedures for system security administration.
5. Ensure proper documentation of security related activities.
6. Design/Manage and monitor the intrusion detection systems, firewall logs as well as monitoring reports.
7. Interface with Internal and External Auditors and manage the open Data Security audit issues.
8. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Well versed with IT standards and Best Practices including ISO/IEC 27001 (ISO 17799), BS 25999, COBIT, Base II and ITIL.
10. Strong working knowledge of SBP regulations and related international laws.
11. Ability to resolve conflicts between IT Security and Business Objective.
12. Excellent communication and good relationship management Skills.
